Questions about therapy and coaching
Clear answers about services, location, fees, and fit before you reach out.
Do you accept insurance?
No. Sessions are private pay only, with a flat fee of $225 per individual therapy session. This also means no diagnosis is filed with an insurance company.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions are online. Zencare is the client platform used as the virtual meeting space for therapy and practice details.
Can I talk to a therapist online?
Yes. I work with high-achieving adults in Florida seeking online mental health support for high-functioning anxiety, performance pressure, perfectionism, decision fatigue, and burnout.
Who do you typically work with?
High achievers who look like they're holding it together on the outside while managing anxiety, pressure, or exhaustion on the inside — regardless of field or title.
How often are sessions?
Most clients start weekly or biweekly, depending on what's going on and what fits your schedule. We'll talk through cadence during your consultation.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Sessions take place on a HIPAA-compliant platform, and because there's no insurance billing, there's no diagnosis filed anywhere outside our work together.
What are the privacy benefits of private-pay therapy?
Because I do not bill health insurance, I do not submit insurance claims, diagnosis codes, session details, or treatment information to an insurer for payment. This reduces the number of outside organizations involved in your care and may be especially meaningful for licensed professionals, executives, public officials, public figures, and others who value discretion around sensitive personal or professional concerns. Therapy can offer a confidential place to speak candidly, sort through pressure, and consider next steps without an insurance company participating in payment decisions.
Does private pay mean there is no diagnosis or paper trail?
No insurance claim or diagnosis code is sent to an insurer because insurance is not billed. However, private pay does not mean that no records exist or that confidentiality is absolute. I maintain secure records required for ethical and legal practice, practice as a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern under supervision, and follow Florida law and professional obligations. Information may be disclosed when you authorize it or when disclosure is required by law, such as certain safety concerns, abuse-reporting duties, or a valid legal order. We can discuss these privacy limits before beginning.
Coaching questions
How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching is a non-clinical, educational service focused on goals, decisions, accountability, and practical next steps. It may address performance pressure, burnout prevention, sustainable routines, and life transitions. Coaching does not include mental-health diagnosis, clinical assessment or treatment, crisis care, or a therapist-client relationship.
Can we work together if I live outside Florida?
Potentially, through coaching only. My psychotherapy services are limited to clients who are physically located in Florida at the time of service. Because coaching is a separate, non-clinical service, it may be available to adults outside Florida when coaching is appropriate and permitted in the client's location. Location and fit are confirmed during the free consultation.
Does coaching allow you to provide therapy across state lines?
No. Coaching is not a substitute or workaround for out-of-state psychotherapy. Coaching sessions remain non-clinical even though I have mental-health training. If you need diagnosis, treatment of a mental-health condition, or clinical support, I will encourage you to work with a qualified clinician who is authorized to provide care where you are located.
What can we work on in coaching?
Coaching can focus on performance challenges, burnout prevention, rebuilding sustainable routines after burnout, decision-making, leadership pressure, demanding life transitions, and solution-focused planning for high achievers.
What does coaching cost, and can insurance reimburse it?
Coaching is $200 for a 50-minute individual online session. It is a private-pay service and is not billed to or reimbursed by health insurance.
What if coaching is not the right level of support?
We will discuss fit during the free 15-minute consultation and continue to reassess it. If your concerns call for clinical assessment, mental-health treatment, or crisis support, coaching would not be appropriate and I will recommend seeking a licensed healthcare professional in your location. Coaching is not an emergency service; in the United States, call or text 988 or call 911 for immediate help.
